Freeway Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client for commercial removal porters. Our customer is offering regular, weekly agency work.

Job Details:

* Job Title: Removal Porter

* Employment type: Temporary Contract Ongoing

* Shifts: Mon - Fri Shifts available / Some Saturdays and Sundays (Sunday shift paid at time and a half rate all day if agency staff are required)

*Start times: 06:30 - 8:30am (Normally 07:00 start time)

Pay - £10.42 per hour Mon - Sat / £15.63 per hour Sunday's

Role/duties:

• Candidates must be able to start work from 06:30am onwards and not be late to shift as the crews rely on all staff to be on time so they can drive to the client site to start work
• You will be working as Removal Porter requiring you to work in teams of 2 - 10 people crews including a HGV driver Removal Porter role requires heavy lifting/manual handling as you will be ensuring our Client's customers sites are professionally emptied or filled of furniture, office equipment
• The role involves a large amount of labouring work
• You can expect 8 – 12 hour day on average, although some shifts can be shorter and longer in length.
• Removal Porters will be working in schools, hospitals, local authorities, private businesses
• Excellent customer service is required as you will be working in businesses that are still functioning
• Accurate time keeping and attendance is needed as you will be planned onto jobs that require a certain amount of people to ensure it is carried out
• Regular weekly shifts are available to workers who are reliable and work well within a team

Requirements:

• Previous experience of working as a Drivers Mate or Removals Porter would be advantageous
• Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be familiar with safe manual handling techniques
• You will be required to sign up with Freeway Agency
• 2 work references must be provided
