Freeway Recruitment are looking to register Class 1 Drivers;

Role: Class 1 HGV C+E Driver

0600 – 0700 start time

Description:

We are looking to register additional Class 1 Drivers to join our agency team.

Our customer is a national leading business in their sector, holding more than 25 depots across Great Britain.

Class 1 Drivers will be expected to distribute goods to both commercial customers as well as internal stock distribution our customers RDC's. You will be required to deliver to a customer base which includes blue-chip companies as well as smaller independent businesses.

*Drivers must have previous experience driving curtain side vehicles, familiar with ratchet straps, safe internal strapping of goods and pallets. Most goods will be unloaded by a a forklift truck. There may be some deliveries which require pallet pump truck delivery.

Requirements:

• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
• Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
• Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
• Good command of English both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
• Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
• Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our Client

Qualifications / training / experience:

You must be able to provide the following;

• Valid Class 2 HGV C+E driving licence
• Valid Digital tachograph card
• Valid Driver CPC card
• Have No more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
• 2 work check-able work references

Pay

£15.50ph (basic pay plus additional holiday accrual)

Overtime (OT) £23.25ph (OT paid after 8 hours workers minus 0.75hr break)

Minimum 8 hours pay
