Freeway recruitment are recruiting HGV class 1 drivers to work between a number of our clients on a temporary / agency basis.

We have general haulage work as well as straight trailer swaps available.

We have shifts available Monday - Friday and some weekends.

Times - 04:00 - 07:00am starts

Pay is between £15.00 - £17.00 per hour for PAYE workers and £17.00 - £20.00 per hour for contractor / Umbrella.

A minimum of 8 hours paid per shift.

Other duties will include but not limited to;

• Daly checking of your vehicle , reporting any defects to the transport team and recording down on daily checker.
• Monitoring your diving hours on a daily basis , enduring that you keep to your daily times, breaks and avoiding any infringements.
• To continually communicate if required with the transport team and to report any accidents or failed deliveries at every point.
• To ensure that loads are safe
• To drive in a safe manner and to deliver excellent customer service both to client and customer.

For the role you must meet the following criteria.

• You must have a full and valid Class1 (C+E) License and entitlement with at least 6 months or 180 hours proven driving of said category.
• No more than 6 points on license with no DR , DD OR IN endorsements.
• A valid Digital tachograph card.
• Valid CPC qualification and card.
• Full right to work in the UK
• Experience of working within the general haulage would be an advantage.

The work can lead to ongoing work on a weekly basis for the right candidates but also can accommodate for part time shifts over the week if required.
