Freeway Recruitment are currently seeking a 7.5 Tonne driver's to start on one of our clients Home delivery contracts.

The position is a long term ongoing position and we are looking for 2 drivers to work together working sharing driving responsibilities.

We are looking for immediate hires pending registration with our agency including legal driving checks, which we can and are able to register you over a weekend.

Salary:

Basic pay - £12.00ph

Overtime (paid after 8 hrs minus 1 hr break) - £18.00ph

Saturdays - £18.00ph ALL HOURS

Hours:

Rolling 3 week rota working 2 in 3 Saturdays,

Job Description:

As a Home delivery crew member / driver you will be working double manned and will be responsible for the following daily tasks.

Checking vehicle for defects and recording down any faults with vehicle

Checking and loading vehicle with deliveries which will be building and DIY product ready for daily delivery.

Going out on specified run , following the daily run sheet and contacting customers when on route to location.

Using the tail lift and pump truck where necessary to off load and deliver goods to customer's home.

Ensuring delivery note is signed by customer at each delivery

Reporting any failed deliveries on a daily basis to operations manager using cab phone.

Reporting any daily incidents to the operations manager.

Driving and operating Vehicle in a safe manner

Adhering to companies policies and procedures whilst maintaining excellent customer service at all times.

The role will work on a rotational system that operates 5 days over 6 , Monday to Saturday.

Requirements for the role;

A full and valid driving licence with 7.5 Tonne entitlement.

At least 6 month experience operating a 7.5 Tonne vehicle

Full and valid CPC and digi card

No more than 6 points with no DR , DD OR IN endorsements

Experience of working with in Home delivery is an advantage although not essential.

Experience of operating a tail lift would be an advantage.
